cláudia monteiro
Cláudia Monteiro is an architect (1999, Faculty of Architecture of University of Porto) and has a PhD in Spatial Planning (2020, Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto), having developed her thesis on the relationship between different morphological approaches and their applicability into professional planning practice (supervised by Paulo Pinho and Jeremy Whitehand). She is Senior Researcher at the Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment (CITTA), at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), and a practitioner in architecture and planning. With over 15 years of continuous professional practice as an architect she has worked at different scales (urban planning, urban design and architecture). She is author of several papers in international scientific journals (Scopus or ISI) and member of the editorial board of “Revista de Morfologia Urbana” (assistant editor between 2015 and 2018).
