Anna Rita Donatella Amato
Architect, attentive to the issues of developing countries, she obtained her PhD at the Diap (Department of Architecture and Design, Sapienza University of Rome) with a thesis that studies the evolution of the courtyard building type starting from the Andalusian territory and following the colonial routes in Latin America.
She was a Research Fellow and an Adjunct Professor at Sapienza. She participates in various international research on the themes of Urban Morphology, taking part in various conferences as a speaker and publishing essays and articles in trade journals and a monograph “Architecture of fences and contemporary city, the vitality of the living organism in the courtyard”.
Since 2015 she is part of the IsufItaly international conferences promoting group, and since 2019 she is a member of the isufitaly board.
Since 2009 through collaboration in various professional firms, she has been working as an architect and since 2012 founds the associated firm FAarchitettura. Since 2017 she has been working independently applying academic research to her professional activity, she is convinced that good architecture is born from a continuous study of the built reality.
